Issues and Positions
· Finally complete the North Shore rail line and stop the endless studies that go nowhere
· Reduce or eliminate all EZ Pass tolls on the Verrazano Bridge for Staten Island residents.
· Provide funding for better access to Hospital care through working with Richmond University Hospital, not to add on another wing, but to make use of the numerous unoccupied buildings in the various neighborhoods throughout the North Shore to bring the doctors to the people, rather than bring the people to the doctors for routine care and checkups, and provide funding to hire more doctors
· Keep our taxes low and reduce the size of government and government red tape and bureaucracy by balancing our budget to our current tax revenues by eliminating unnecessary or excessive programs and services, and then applying an equal cut across the board for all government services except life-saving medical care, care for the indigent elderly, police and fire protection services.
· Reform all welfare programs toward workfare programs, using recipients to fill government positions or subsidizing them to work in local businesses who need help but can’t afford to pay for additional employees
· Subsidize local businesses to keep employees working rather than laying them off and sending them home on unemployment. It will keep people working and boost their sense of worth, rather than making them feel unnecessary and invaluable
· Bring back term limits for ALL NY City elected positions and ensure that they can ONLY be changed by a vote of the people, not by any elected official
